State Inspector of Finance on leave. Among other positions in the Spanish Ministry of Finance, within the Spanish Tax Agency, he was a Special Delegate of the Tax Agency in Catalonia and Managing Director of the Financial and Tax Inspection department of the Spanish Tax Agency.
He specialises in Tax Law, in particular in Corporate Law, Business restructuring, Tax Controversy, Family Business and Private Clients.
He has wide experience in business negotiations.
He was a founding member and managing partner of the law firm Padrol Munté, where he focused on the tax and corporate practice at the firm’s offices in Barcelona y Madrid. The law office Padrol Munté was later acquired by Gómez-Acebo y Pombo, where he became managing partner of the firm’s tax area and a member of its Management Committee.
Currently, he is a founding member and managing partner of the law firm OPTIO Next Law.
He has also been president and main partner of Iplusf (Innovation and Financing Consultants).
He has been a member of the Boards of Directors of several companies (Gas Natural Fenosa (currently Naturgy), Equipos Nucleares, S.A., among others).
He has been a lecturer in Tax Matters at the UPF School of Management and ESADE Business & Law School.
He has been a member of the CAREC (Consell Assessor del Govern de la Generalitat de Catalunya per a la Reactivació Econòmica i el Creixement).

He specialises in Tax Law, in particular in Corporate Law, Business restructuring, Tax Controversy, Family Business and Private Clients.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is a State Tax Inspector on leave and Inspector of Insurers, Pension Plans and Funds (on leave).
He has wide experience in tax consultancy for groups of companies and high net worth customers, both regarding national and international fiscal planning and verification and economic-administrative and contentious appeal procedures.
Before joining OPTIO Next Law, he was managing partner at EY Abogados in Barcelona from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2021. Formerly, among other positions, he was a partner of Baker McKenzie and Ramón y Cajal Abogados. He served as a Tax Inspector until 2000, when he took leave of absence from his last position as Head of Tax Inspection in Catalonia.
He is a member of the Bar Association of Madrid and the Institutional Advisory Board of AEDAF (Asociación Española de Asesores Fiscales).
He collaborates regularly in different professional and training fora as a lecturer in specialist masters courses, particularly at ESADE (Tax Consultancy & Management and International taxation/International tax evasion measures).

She specialises in tax consultancy for medium-size companies, individuals and family groups.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s Degree in Taxation and Tax Advisory from the Centro de Estudios Financieros and a postgraduate course in Tax Law from the University of Barcelona.
She has extensive experience in business restructuring, family businesses and real state taxation in the field of indirect taxation, VAT and stamp duty. Structuring of property investments and divestments. Follow-up of fiscal verification and inspection procedures and negotiations with the Spanish Tax Authorities. Submission and follow-up of appeals before the Tax bodies, Tax Inspection and Economic-Administrative Courts. Submission and follow-up of contentious-administrative procedures.
Before joining OPTIO Next Law, she was a member of the Corporate Tax Advisory team at the Barcelona office of EY Abogados, where she exercised as a lawyer for eight years. Formerly, she was a lawyer in the Tax Department of the law firms Fornesa-Prada-Fernández (now Augusta Abogados) and Jausas (now Fieldfisher/Jausas).

She specialises in ongoing tax consultancy for major Spanish and international corporate groups, and well-established groups of medium and large companies of different sectors. She has wide experience in M&A transactions’ analysis, structuring and execution, as well as in tax optimisation and planning of family wealth. She has also been involved in various corporate acquisition and due-diligence processes, and in multiple verification and investigation procedures before the Spanish Tax Authorities.
She has a double Bachelor's Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has a Master's Degree in Tax Advisory and Taxation from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) and the Open University of Madrid (UDIMA), and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues and the Harvard Law School.
Before joining OPTIO Next Law, she worked at the Tax Department of Garrigues’ Barcelona office for more than nine years.

He also has extensive experience in succession planning and generational handover, business restructuring, planning and design of structures for investment in Spain by non-residents and in providing recurring tax advice to medium and large companies, both nationally and internationally.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Tax Consultancy and Management (AGT) from ESADE, a postgraduate degree in International Taxation from ESADE and an Executive MBA from UPF the Barcelona School of Management.
Before joining the OPTIO Next Law team, he developed his career in the tax area of PwC (Barcelona office) for more than 11 years.

She has a Law Degree from the University of Navarra and has specialized in tax practice completing a Master of Specialization in Tax Consultancy and Management at ESADE. She also completed a Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Carlos III University of Madrid and additionally completed a Master in Law (L.L.M) at Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
She is specialized in tax advice to individuals and legal entities both nationally and internationally. In this regard, she has experience in all matter affecting non-residents in Spain, both companies and individuals, as well as the study, planning and execution of foreign investments in Spain.
Before joining the tax department of OPTIO Next Law, she had worked as lawyer in Lener Asesores Legales y Económicos and has also been working in international firms such as KPMG Luxembourg.
She is a member of the Alicante Bar Association.

She graduated in Law from the Pompeu Fabra University and completed the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the UPF-Barcelona School of Management. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Taxation and Tax Consultancy at the Centro de Estudios Financieros - UDIMA.
Since joining the firm, she has dealt with issues related to the different tax regimes applicable to non-residents in Spain and in the design of structures for investment in Spain, as well as in other business restructuring projects, succession planning and family business advice.

Her expertise field is Tax Litigation.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Barcelona (2007-2012) and a Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy and Management from ESADE, as well as a Master’s Degree in Tax Law from the Bar Association of Barcelona.
She specialises in the Tax field, particularly in tax procedures, i.e., consultancy, defence and processing of dossiers initiated by the Tax Authorities, both of an administrative nature (tax inspection and economic-administrative procedures) and of an administrative-contentious character (Court proceedings).
Additionally, she has extensive experience in ongoing tax consultancy for individuals and companies, preventive legal counselling of tax controversy and optimisation of taxable persons’ tax situation.
Before joining the Tax Department of OPTIO Next Law, she was Manager of the Tax Practice at EY Abogados, attached to the PCS (EY Private Client Services) and TC (EY Tax Controversy) departments. Formerly, she worked as a civil lawyer, where she accumulated experience in civil procedures and matters.

She is specialized in tax advice to corporate groups, both national and international, as well as in business restructuring and tax litigation processes.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law at ESADE, and she has a Master’s Degree in General Tax Advice, a Master's Degree in Law, both also held at ESADE, and a Master's Degree in Audit, taught by the Centro de Estudios Financieros together with the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid. Additionally, she holds the title of Expert in International Taxation.
She has a wide experience in recurring tax advice to large companies and corporate groups from different industries, both nationally and internationally, regarding direct and indirect taxation, as well as in the design and implementation of restructuring transactions and tax consolidation. Likewise, she is also well experienced in recurring tax advice to individuals and litigation processes.
Before joining OPTIO Next Law, she developed her career for more than 5 years in the corporate tax advisory department of EY Lawyers Barcelona. Previously, she worked as a lawyer in the international tax advisory team of Pedrosa Lagos.

He has complemented his training with different courses on advanced accounting at the Centro de Estudios Financieros of Barcelona, attached to the UDIMA.
He has wide experience in the financial field. He is a “European Financial Advisor” certified by EFPA (España) and has chosen the tax consultancy for individuals and corporates area as his professional expertise.

She has a Law Degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has specialized in tax practice completing a Master's Degree in Taxation at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. Subsequently, she has obtained the title of expert in International Taxation at ESADE.
She is specialized in tax advice for individuals and legal entities both nationally and internationally.
She has extensive experience in advising individuals (Personal Income Tax, Wealth Tax, Non-Resident income Taxes), as well as in advising family businesses, indirect and real estate taxation, and international taxation. In the latter field, she has extensive experience in all matters affecting non-residents in Spain, both companies and individuals, as well as the study, planning and execution of Spanish investments abroad and foreign investments in Spain. Likewise, she has managed many international mobility processes in relation to the expatriate employees of many large companies, from the initial planning of the expatriation to the fulfillment of the tax and legal obligations derived from them.
Moreover, has participated in many verification and investigation procedures before the Spanish Tax Administration.
Before joining the tax department of OPTIO Next Law, she had worked as a lawyer in Pedrosa Lagos and has also been working in international firms such as KPMG.
She is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association.
